A timeline of reigns


One of Śākyamuni Buddha's primary benefactors was the Haryanka Mahārāja Bimbisāra. Mahārāja Bimbisāra and his Kingdom Magadha, in present day Bihar, are mentioned countless times in the Buddhist Theravāda suttas. Below you find a scematic timeline representation of the reigns of Mahārāja Bimbisāra, his treachorous son Prince Ajātasattu (p)/Ajātaśatru (s) and further members of the Haryanka dynasty of Magadha.
